  • Although all individuals are welcome to stay at Community House, we do have specific guidelines and rules designed to ensure that everyone who stays with us feels safe and secure. To gain access to Community House, all you need to do is reach out to us via phone or email, and we will promptly inform you if there are any rooms available for your stay. Once you arrive at our facility, there will be a brief intake process, during which we will thoroughly review the rules and regulations of the shelter to ensure everyone is informed and comfortable. Please keep in mind we are a clean and sober shelter and residents are encouraged to remain so during their stay.

  • Yes, we require all residents to maintain a clean and sober lifestyle while staying at the Community House on Broadway. Our primary goal is to equip and actively encourage residents to remain drug-free, not just for their own benefit, but also for the well-being of those around them. We strive to provide the essential tools and a strong sense of accountability to empower residents in their journeys toward becoming independent and self-sufficient individuals.

    • Community House on Broadway boasts a total of 42 rooms available for guests. Out of the 42 total rooms, there are 15 family rooms designed to comfortably host families, along with 25 single rooms that provide a private space for individuals. Additionally, the facility includes 1 men's dorm room and 1 women's dorm room, each offering a communal living environment for those seeking shared housing.

    • CHESS has a total of 27 carefully designed and accessible rooms that house medically fragile individuals who are not able to climb stairs or are wheelchair bound. These rooms are specifically intended to provide comfort and support for those with mobility challenges, ensuring a safe and accommodating environment.

    • Beth's Place will provide a safe and supportive environment for a total of 48 youth and will feature 24 well-equipped rooms in total. The layout of the facility includes dedicated rooms on one side for male youth, while the other side will accommodate female youth, ensuring a comfortable and respectful living arrangement for everyone involved.

  • Unlike other homeless shelters in our area, we firmly believe that holding individuals accountable while simultaneously creating a sober and clean living environment has proven to be the most effective solution in providing support to the homeless in our community. Not only do we set clear expectations for our residents, but we also offer a variety of onsite services that empower them to take control of their lives. Our ultimate goal is to help them successfully transition into stable housing of their own, providing the necessary tools and support they need along the way.
